Even though February seemed calmer astrologically, it left us starting off March in the throws of Eclipse Season! Not only are we experiencing that energetic portal, but this month will have our heads spinning with activity. In this post, I'm sharing what you need to know about 3 ingresses, 4 retrogrades, 3 cazimis, 1 conjunction transit, and 1 eclipse. There are 11 other aspect-related astrological events, plus the regular moon ingresses (every 2-3 days), and Sun entering Aries. Get ready because it's time to connect to the cosmos of the March 2026 Astrology!
Mars Enters Pisces
The planet of action has been shuffling along through Capricorn and Aquarius in 2026 and is already ready to hop to Pisces. The Mutable Water Sign of the zodiac, represented by the fish, and ruled by Jupiter & Neptune. Mars ingresses into Pisces on March 2nd (less than one day before the Virgo eclipse in its sister sign!!) at 9:16am EST. For context, Mercury and Venus already entered Pisces a few weeks ago, so Mars is simply joining the party! The last time that Mars transited this Sign was March 22nd through April 30th of 2024. Over the next several weeks, until April 9th, we can expect increased actions towards intuition development and creative hobbies, conflict avoidance and passive aggression, and drive to transform dreams into reality.
Saturn Retrograde Post-Shadow Ends
For full context here of Saturn's 2026 journey thus far, it was moving in Direct Motion, but is still floating through the Mutable Water Sign of Pisces. In February it finally (!) re-entered the Cardinal Fire Sign to kick-off its 2-year trek through Aries. Now, we can't forget that the reason for this delay is because Saturn was in Retrograde Motion. On March 2nd at 1:00pm EST, Saturn reaches 1º56' Aries, which is the same degree point it stationed Rx at on July 13th. What does this mean exactly? The planet of constriction, maturity, and boundaries has finally cleared the Retrograde zone of influence and is navigating degrees in Aries that we haven't live through since the late 90s! To better understand what the energetic shift of a Saturn Post-Shadow Period concluding feels like, flip back in your calendar to November 15th of 2024 to February 18th of 2025 between 12º42’ and 19º26' of Pisces. This of course isn't a 1:1 comparison because it's a different Zodiac Sign, but it still embodies the experience release from Retrograde Motion for this planet.
Lunar Eclipse in Virgo
It's the second eclipse of the year! This Lunar Eclipse happens on March 3rd at 6:34am EST at 12º of Virgo. We're back to our regularly scheduled programing with an eclipse on the Pisces-Virgo axis. We spilled the cosmic tea on this day and all four of this year's Eclipses in our 2026 Forecasts episode of Synergy to Synastry! Broadly, this South Node in Virgo Eclipse is asking us to shed perfectionism, overthinking, excessive planning, and fixations on health and creating order.
For reference, here are the most recent Virgo Lunar Eclipses: 3/14/25, 2/20/08, 3/3/07, 3/14/06, 3/12/98, 2/20/89, 3/3/88, and 3/1/80. Consider looking at any documents, journals, emails, calendar events, or just plain old reflection within your mind, to place yourself back in these energy portals. Pay attention to any patterns that emerge to help inform what you could expect for this go-around!. Venus Enters Aries
Saturn isn't the only planet working its way through Aries because just 4 days after its Rx Period officially closes out, Venus comes on the scene! Unfortunately for Venus, one of the last places it wants to be is in the Cardinal Fire Sign. Aries is the sign of its Detriment, which means that Venus feels far from home (i.e., Libra) and generally pretty tense. We've already got the very serious Saturn taking up residence in Aries for the next couple years and then when Venus enters on March 6th at 5:46am EST, the mood doesn't exactly brighten, as per usual for a Venus ingress. Big picture, we can expect increased impulses of passion, creativity-fueled actions, and tension between relaxation and drive. The last time this transit occurred was February 4th thru March 27th of 2025 (including a Pre-Shadow & Retrograde) and April 30th thru June 6th of 2025 (including a Post-Shadow). Those dates are key points of reference for this transit – keep in mind that Saturn wasn't co-present then.
Mercury Cazimi in Pisces
For the second month in 2026 (the last was January), we've got 3 Cazimis on the agenda! Mercury gets the train moving with a 16º of Pisces Cazimi at 6:01am EST on March 7th. Whenever a planet conjoins the Sun (i.e., 0º apart) it's "in the heart of the Sun" and illuminated with super-charged life force energy. Mercury Cazimis are known for eliciting smooth communication, announcements and launches, and aha moments. With Mercury in Pisces, its in detriment and fall, on top of being retrograde, this day offers an especially bright spot for this incredibly foggy period. If you've got anything you've been hoping to publish, an important conversation to have, or travel plans to make, strike while the iron is hot! For the collective energy, we'll want to be aware of inspired daydreaming, delusional and/or intuitively guided insights, and romanticization of reality. Note: the last Mercury Cazimi was in Aquarius on January 21st, while the last one happening in Pisces was on March 24, 2025.
Venus-Neptune Conjunction in Aries
It's only been one day since Venus entered Aries and in that time it already catches up to Neptune for a conjunction. On March 7th at 6:27am EST, the planets of harmony and delusion meet at 1º of Aries. Remember, Saturn and Neptune conjoined at this same degree point on February 20th! Venus-Neptune conjunctions have quite a different energetic impact though! They're known for eliciting sentimentality, willful gullibility, and longing for fantastical love and connection. Given that Venus is in its detriment, we can expect those dynamics to infuse a desire for action, with a dash of dysfunctional illusions and flowy focus. This day is one to be mindful of because our perception of reality could be entirely skewed!
Jupiter Stations Direct in Cancer
It's been months since we've talked about Jupiter, so let's welcome the planet of abundance to the conversation! On March 10th at 11:30pm EST, it Stations Direct at 15º05' Cancer. Jupiter's annual Retrograde began in August 2025 with its Pre-Shadow Period. On November 11th, it Stationed Retrograde at 25º09' Cancer and has been retracing 10º of the Cardinal Water Sign (its exaltation) ever since! Even those Jupiter is moving forward once again, it's not full steam ahead just yet because of the Post-Shadow Period, which won't conclude until June 6th. Check your Natal Chart for the degree range that Jupiter will coax us to expand in for one last time, for another 12 years.
Neptune Retrograde Pre-Shadow & Post-Shadow Periods
The outermost planets have such long Retrograde cycles (i.e., 5-6 months) that the Shadow Periods actually overlap! Neptune's 2026-2027 Rx season begins on March 16th at 7:18am EST when the planet of dreams and illusion reaches 1º37' Aries. It's another two weeks before the 2025-2026 Rx season even ends! Neptune exits the Post-Shadow Period at 2º11' Aries on March 31st when the clock ticks 6:42am EST. With this chapter finally closing at the end of the month, we can refocus on the upcoming Retrograde. Too soon? Well, at least it doesn't formally Station Retrograde until July 7th!
Mercury Stations Direct in Pisces
The planet of communication is grabbing our attention once again because it's stationing direct on March 20th at 3:33am EST at 8º29' Pisces. To turn the clock back for a moment, Mercury first stationed Retrograde on February 26th and has been retracing the majority of the Mutable Water Sign ever since. Now that it's moving forward, we still have the Post-Retrograde Shadow Period to contend with! During the weeks ahead, speedy Mercury will retrace the same degree points it's already passed through twice in the last month. This transit offers the third and final opportunity of the Retrograde to tie up any communication loose ends within the Piscean area of our life. Note: with Mercury stationing Direct we get to enjoy a tiny reprieve from Retrogrades because all of the planets are moving in Direct Motion until May 6th, when Pluto Stations Rx!
Neptune Cazimi in Aries
For our second Cazimi of the month, we're chatting about Neptune, which entered Aries in the final days of January to glide into a new 13yr chapter. On March 22nd at 7:18am EST, Neptune conjoins the Sun at 1º Aries. In general, Neptune Cazimis are known for calling forth synchronicities, divinely inspired dreaming, and an openness to connect. The Sun is helping to shine a light on the new terrain of Aries, which Neptune is still seeking to make heads or tails of. For this splash of a transit, we can expect a day of whimsy-meets-passion, active imagination, and a willingness to follow our dreams. What will you dream up for the Aries area of your Chart? Saturn Cazimi in Aries
We've arrived at our third and final Cazimi of March 2026! Just a few weeks ago Saturn exited its Post-Shadow Period of the Retrograde Cycle and the Cazimi on March 25th signals that we're already halfway to the next one starting (yaaay?). Cazimi days themselves are typically a bright spot that we wanna circle on our calendars; for a malefic like Saturn, it's even more exciting. The planet of responsibility, wisdom, and time meets up with the Sun at 4º of Aries at 4:54am EST. This conjunction has a reputation for recalibrating and reinvigorating our commitments, boundaries, and sense of structure. Place it in Aries and now we are talking about an especially great day to hard-launch or begin work on a project that you want to endure for the long-haul. Venus Enters Taurus
Hold on, another Venus ingress?! That's right, the planet of love is joyously skipping out of Aries and into the loving arms of Taurus. In addition to Libra, Venus rules the Fixed Earth Sign, so its feeling right at home and ready to get cozy! Our relaxation era starts on March 30th at 12:01pm EST. The transit itself will last until April 24th, and during the weeks ahead we can look forward to increased stability in temperament, sensuality, and passivity due to contentment. Make sure to check your Natal Chart for the House(s) in Taurus to see where all of that ease is being channeled.
