When March kicks off we finally reach the edge of the field! We're now approaching a forest. In this depiction, it's a thick line of pine and evergreen trees. It feels not exactly ominous, but there's a looming sense of the unknown because it's dark. There are closely clustered trees which significantly contrast where we just were for the last month, walking through a completely open field. We had full visibility with every step we took. Now, as we approach this tree line and prepare to enter, we take a moment to check in with ourselves. Taking some deep breaths, gripping the strap of our messenger bag, and preparing to enter; we know this is going to be a new, very energetically different chapter in our story.
We spent the first week or so of March 2026 tiptoeing closer and closer (doing the preparation work). Once we actually reach the forest's edge, all that's required is to take that final step forward. It's at that moment when we connect to our first card, which is from The Moon Deck. It's the Focus card, and the mantra reads: "I focus on what's working." We're receiving this reminder to not forget, not wipe the slate clean of January's mission. We had our swampy experience, wrote it down, and are taking it with us. While preparing to deliver it, we crossed a totally new terrain in February. During those weeks we processed our emotions and connected to our intuition, our depth, and our inner wisdom. We learned not only experience-based wisdom, but applied and developed a crucial skill set that will serve us through the rest of the year.
Beneath the forest cover just before mid-month, we begin hearing the sound of crickets chirping and the rustling of leaves. We hike up our shoulders a little bit, slightly more tense, as if we're expecting somebody to leap out from behind a tree. If the unexpected were to occur we must be on our toes and on-guard. However, the forest is incredibly quiet and we are moving through it alone and undisturbed. We are carrying this hesitation and resistance energy within us.
As the month progresses, we spend the remaining weeks taking very careful steps and periodically swerving to put our back to a tree. There we sit at its roots to connect, ground, and find our center. Even though we don't have any visible or obvious reason to be off-balance, we are energetically experiencing a sense of disruption.
For our final card we look to the five of pentacles from The Moonchild Tarot Deck. In tarot, and specifically channeled in this case, this card represents a scarcity mindset. Fives are a challenge card and pentacles are the earth sign, so it's no surprise that we're having contact with nature by continually connecting to trees. We're looking to ground because for the five of pentacles we're experiencing challenges with money, finances, and the tangible, physical world. As we've already established, there isn't actually anything that's off other than our own energetic alignment. The scarcity mindset is rooted in a lack of trust with the stability around us. We're uncertain whether our most basic needs will be met. For survival's sake we're going to get through this forest and to the other side, but we're playing mind games with ourselves for the bulk of this month. The core lesson is to finally come to the realization that we are safe and secure.
I hope in this month ahead that you return back to the tools and insights you've gained and sharpened in the first two months of 2026. Also, that you seek abundance, openness, and trust in the face of predominantly fear-based feelings of lack and uncertainty. You can get through this; we'll all get through this!
