Remember in January when we were tasked with taking our knowledge from personal experience of something secretly toxic and sharing it with the collective? Dropping into February 2026, we're picking up exactly where last month left off, stepping into an open, sunny field as wide as the eye can see. There are distant trees along the perimeter on our left, and it's almost as if we are straining to try to identify some landmarks and gain a sense of direction. There are mountains in the distance, but are we just imagining them? There aren't even clouds in the sky, so we have no reference point other than the sun above us. We're naturally disoriented by the lack of bearings, but we are not weighed down or confused. It's a simple and basic truth that we don't know exactly how we'll get to our destination.
We return to our messenger bag and find a compass toggling back and forth between north and east. It won't stabilize and is not fully operable to tell us which way to travel. This element of the month ahead message is ultimately symbolic of us needing to figure out our true north. When we come back to ourselves, we can understand our values. Knowing what we value, what is valuable to us, and what drives us. Our values can be a lived experience. When we are aligned with them the compass snaps into place and points to our true north. We put on a little baseball cap to protect from the sun and apply our sunscreen because we're going to be out in this open field, fully exposed to sunlight. As we start moving across the landscape, there are little dips and small hills while we navigate the terrain.
Our first card is: Cycles, "My emotions move through cycles and connect me to my truth." This is going to be a nuanced journey and no matter what's presented to us, the highs and the lows, this card reminds us that nothing is permanent. Recall that New Moon in Scorpio card from January, we're urged to be in touch with our emotional state and check in with mindfulness practices. When allowing the insights to come in we may process and observe and then distance ourselves from them. Releasing, letting go, and not allowing a stranglehold to take shape because nothing is permanent. This too shall pass. Any small obstacle is just that and won't last forever. We can and will move through it and persevere!
I see us trekking through the expansive, rural hillside for the entirety of February. By the end of the month, we catch glimpses of civilization. The next card we have is: Prayer, "I surrender to the power of prayer and devotion." It's a perfect pairing with the first card where we were being asked to release (i.e., the premise of this second card!). Note: if you are somebody who is religious and you'd like to lean on prayer to support navigating through this month, you absolutely may do so!. If that's not your bag, lean into the surrender piece. It's more than simply letting things roll off your back in dismissal; in surrender we cut energetic ties, choosing to no longer pour from an empty cup. We decide what is meant for us. We're not going to chase. We're not letting these emotions overtake us. In this release, we ultimately find a sense of freedom to explore.

Don't neglect checking in with your emotions and make sure to remind yourself that nothing is permanent. And in fact, that impermanence actually can be a positive (versus tipping us into a scarcity or fear-based mindset)!. When we release and surrender we fast-track towards our next adventure and up-level!
