Summer Solstice 2026 (Cancer Season)

Renee: So let's talk about today.

Renee: In the Northern Hemisphere, it is the summer solstice.

Renee: At 4:25 a.m.

Renee: Eastern time, the sun entered the cardinal water sign of cancer, the crab.

Renee: When the luminary changes signs, it reflects a shift in our ego and life force energy.

Renee: If you're a Leo rising, you may especially experience this transition because the sun rolls your natal chart.

Renee: Cancer season signals a shift towards being intuitive, compelled to caretake, maybe a little bit moody, being very home and family centric, or even guarded.

Renee: What you want to do is check your natal chart for 0 to 29 degrees of cancer to see which house or houses, in other words, life areas, the sun is transiting through over the next month.

Renee: Also, be on the lookout for any natal placements in this sign that the sun passes over and infuses with its illuminating energy.

Renee: If you want to go a little bit deeper, you can incorporate aspects, meaning looking at planets that are in other signs, not just cancer, to form sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
